Trust me, I don't think you're being a smart a$$...a few months ago I spent an hour pushing the freakin thing back and forth in a parking lot trying to push start it with the kill switch off.
In this case however,the kill switch is definetly on "run". And the kickstand kill switch is functioning properly.
I'm pretty sure that when the kill switch is off or the sidestand is down, it won't crank at all.
Thanks for the input though...I'll keep you posted.
